Pines Lake has had a Swim Team for over 40 years.  It is open to Association members through the age of 18.  Last year we had some 70 swimmers from over 40 families.  Swimmers need to meet just two requirements. First, they must be comfortable in the water and have confidence to briefly hold their breath underwater.  Second, they must be able to swim unassisted in the lane lines from one side of the dock to the other.

We are members of the Ramapo Hills Swim Conference. It is comprised of 10 teams.  We have 6 meets, most on Friday mornings at 10am.  At the end of the season there is a Championship meet.

The Swim Team is a family affair, we need parent’s help all season.  It could be helping to time or working the concession stand or organizing the end of the year party.  The Swim Team only works if we all help.

We have a new website as you can see, any and all information about the Team is on here, our schedule will be posted on the calendar, special events, even ordering clothes and signs.

So if you're a Swim Team member already, see you in July and if you’re not come out give us a try, you might like us.

NEWS:

Dear Pines Lake Predator Families;

   

     I would like to congratulate all our swimmers, and wish good luck to our seniors who are leaving.  Thank all of you, who gave above and beyond to help out the kids by volunteering.  I would like to thank all of you for the more than generous gift; it was not needed but greatly appreciated.

     Over the off-season we will be working on a few things to make the month of July and the meets run better.

     I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the start time mistake for the swim across the lake this year.  I understand that some of the team thought it was at 4pm not 3pm and they missed that swim.  There was a loss of communication on my part, again sorry!!

    Please continue to look at the website any changes and new ideas will be posted there, remember as we get close to the season next year go to the forms page you can print out the register page and bring it with you to the meeting, sometime in may.
